The Life of Lurante Lockette Lurante K. Lockette, known as "Ronte" a.k.a "Big Redd", was born on January 22, 1974 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He attended Thomasville Heights Elementary School, D.H. Stanton Elementary and Harper High School. After school he worked and supported his family business, Mary's Bail Bonding for many years. As a young adult he enjoyed socializing and fellowship in the Central Methodist Community then proceeded his adult years with fellowship in Thomasville community and most recently Jonesboro/Forest Park community.

His unorthodox ways, smile and big heart attracted many and left a mark on anyone he came in contact with. Lurante loved hard and wanted the same love in return in which he was loved dearly by family and community neighborhood friends. He loved dogs and always kept one as his best friend no matter what.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Joyce Lockette, his Grandmother, Mary Lockette; three sisters Juanshe Horton, Sasha Lockette, Takiya Coachman; two brothers Traveous Lockette and Antonio Coachman. Also one daughter Taynisia Lockette, two sons Lurante Lockette Jr., Demetrius Jarrett; niece (like a daughter) Tyanna Horton; step daughter Deonica Davenport; Aunt Pat Lockette; two uncles William Lockette Jr., and Wayne Lockette Sr. and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly. Also a special friend Safi Warren-Chandler. Lurante was preceded in death by his father Levi Taylor (Mutee), one sister Tonia Coachman and one son Antonio Chapel.

I miss you so much that it is hard every day to move forward without you. I dream of you and have flashbacks. I was your queen and from the first time we made it official we were inseparable. I love you more than life itself.

I will miss those random phone calls from you asking me "why didn't you call me cuz?", only to realize that you had a new number and never gave it to me. Lol. You had such a big heart and kind spirit and we will miss that about you. Rest peacefully now Ronte as you will always live on in our hearts. -Shaun D.
