Retha Briggs Jones was born to Leon and Cloyte Briggs on May 18, 1944 in Hope, Arkansas.

She departed this on August 13, 2021 in Clearwater, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Jones, parents, four siblings (Richard, William, and Roosevelt Briggs, and Virgie Wilson). Four children Joyce Anderson, Albert Anderson, Iletha Pitts, and Dorothy McGahee)

Grandchildren - Charles, Alphonso, Christopher, & Joshinia Anderson, Angela (James) Hill, Joshua (Ryeshay) Anderson, Tessa & Retha Anderson, Billy & Miranda McGahee, Jeanetta (Monyeh) Boykin, Senora McCracken, Creve (Dyindamola) McCracken, Lawrence and Mikkael Pitts, Teresa (Marcus) Robinson, Nathaniel Anderson, Ashley Anderson, Dontay Anderson & Christina Anderson.
