Charles A. Gill, Sr., 63, of Powhatan, VA, died August 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Freddie and James Gill and sister, Louise Edwards. Surviving are his wife, Wanda E. Gill; daughter, Tionna "Tee" M. Gill; son, Charles "LG" Allen Gill, Jr.; granddaughter, Callie Amiyah Rose Gill; parents, Junious and Helen Gill; brother, Edward Gill (Katrina); sister, Mary Glo Taylor (Thomas); host of nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Zell Edmond Hudson; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Gill, Ruth Gill and Edna Hobbs; brother-in-law, Shawn Williams; other relatives and many devoted friends. Mr. Gill worked at DGSC General Supply Center. Then later he became owner of Gills Limousine Service. He was the owner the Professional IBL team called the Richmond Rhythm. The team played professional games in the City of Richmond for two years. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. where viewing will be held Friday, August 27 from 10 a. m. until 4:30 p.m. followed by a walk through visitation in Scott's Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28 at United Nations Church, 214 Cowardin Ave. Rev. Angelo Chatmon, officiating. Interment Quantico National Cemetery.
