Obituary For Linzsay Woods

Mr. Linzsay Walker Woods was born on April 12, 1943 in York, South Carolina and departed this life on Tuesday; August 17, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.

Linzsay was a 1961 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Clover, South Carolina. He was a member of Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, South Carolina where he served on the Usher Board. Linzsay worked over a decade for the North Carolina Department of Transportation until his retirement. He loved fishing and will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: James “Jimmie” Woods.

He leaves to cherish fond memories to his three daughters: Sonya “Nique” Woods of Washington, District of Columbia, Teshine Mitchell of York, South Carolina and Courtney Lawrence of Stanley, North Carolina; one son: Dantae; one sister: Dorothy Woods of Gastonia, North Carolina; one sister-in-law: Mattie Woods of Clover, South Carolina; three grandsons: Eric Woods of Washington, District of Columbia, Tarkevis and Markevis Bankhead of York, South Carolina; four great grandchildren; one niece: Ruby Fewell of Gastonia; one nephew: Donnie Woods (Sallie) of Gastgonia, North Carolina; one special friend: James McKnight of Sharon, South Carolina and many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing at the funeral home on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5 until 8

Graveside service on Tuesday, August 24,2021 at 2:00 at Weeping Mary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bowling Greene. SC
