Jamorris Reashaun Swain, age 30, of Arnoldsville, GA passed August 24, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at The Oconee Civic Center, 2661 Hog Mountain Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677.

Survivors include: his mother, Patty Swain; father, James Martin; sister, Latensha Swain; grandmother, Hattie Swain; special friend, Letina McCommons; and step daughter, Jaliyah Redd.

We weren't the closest and we haven't seen each other face to face in God's knows when, but by blood you were my brother and nothing will change that. Jay...where to start. Worked with you for about 4 years... feel like I known you forever!!! Your infectious smile was always seen daily. Your positive attitude and your laughter were always noticeable. You will be missed. I keep feeling like it's all a dream and we will all wake up!!! Jay, I am truly at a loss of words because of this. Man, I sure do miss you. I remember many days at McLane when you were loading trucks and talking to you about becoming a supervisor. Once promoted, you ran with it and made a huge impact to the operation. People would listen to you. You were a great leader as well as a confidant. You were always a little quiet but I think that is because you were a very analytical person. You were slow to anger and had quick resolve. A very empathetic person, people tended to gravitate to you for guidance and would follow your leadership. I will miss your smile and laughter but most of all, I will truly mis YOU.

Jamorris, my dear friend, there are not enough words to describe the impact you had on those who had the pleasure of knowing you. Your kindness and humility were admirable, and your smile could light up any room. From High school days, to planning our class reunion, to long talks at the gym you always carried positivity. Your ambition, hunger for life, and love for your family was unmatched. The last advise you gave me was to keep pushing forward no matter how tough life gets and those words I will always carry with me. Jamorris, let me start by saying Rest In Peace brother. I, like many, will never forget you. From becoming friends at Clarke Middle School to dying at wrestling practice with Coach Stoud, or just cracking up in class at Clarke Central.. I will never forget you my friend. There are not many people that you come across in life that make as big of an impact on those around them, as you made to those around you. Always quiet but what a strong presence you carried. From the first time I ever met you, I knew that I could always count on you to have my back no matter what and that I had a friend for life. And even though you have been called home, trust me when I say you will always live in our memories. Forever remembered by Philip Wierson.
