Mr. David Kynard, 75, of Gadsden passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. The Obituary “The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires but in hi integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.” David Kynard Sr. was born on August 30, 1945 in Marion, Alabama to the matrimony of the late Eddie & Gertude Kynard. He was the sixth child of twelve. He came to Gadsden, AL in the early 60’s. He married Exie Ruth Rolley in 1967 and to this union, three kids were born, Theresa, Denise and David Jr. David was baptized at Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age. He never joined church but often attended different churches. David was a strong man of statue. He worked construction for over 60 years. David had many passions in his life. He was a contractor, fisherman, and a hunter. He was also known to have shot the biggest buck in Perry County. But most importantly, he was passionately about his family. He provided for his wife and three children and yet still made time for his many siblings. David wanted his whole family to get together for happy occasions. He was the vice president of The Greywolf Riders Motorcycle Club of Gadsden, AL. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Author, Willie and John Kynard. He leaves to mourn his passing: Two daughters, Theresa Melton (Marlon) and Denise Pace (Donald) of Gadsden, AL. One son, David Kynard Jr. (Sanitria) of Gadsden, AL; Two grandsons, Derrius Kynard and Antonio Kynard of Gadsden, AL; Three granddaughters, Katherine Johnson, Jazlon Johnson and Markenzie Jackson, all of Gadsden, AL; Four great-grands, Decorain Malone, Nehemiah Jackson, Khaloe nd Kali Johnson, all of Gadsden, AL; Two brothers, Bill Kynard (Queen Ester) of Gadsden, AL, Jake Kynard (Helen) of Waukegan, ILL; Six sisters, Nina Faye Johnson (Robert), Ann Hackworth (Herman) of Alabaster, AL, Aina Raye Foster (James), Eddye Mae Parker, Geneva Moore, all of Waukegan, ILL. And Bonnie Warren of Detroit, MI.; Very special friend, Hattie Thomas; Special co-workers, Willie Duncan, David Fundbird, Wayne Rowe, Bobby Beavers, and David Moore. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
