Sweet Cousin-in-Love, Ruth: The earth will not be the same without your infectious smile and quiet, sweet, but friendly spirit. Our Cousin Dewitt was blessed from on High to have you as his wife and soulmate. You remarkably exemplified a Proverbs 31 woman! We will miss you dearly. RIP, Beautiful Laday (inside and out). Love, Cousin Gail and the Brown & Marshall families

My beautiful sister Ruth,I will miss you very much. God looked around his garden and found a empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tried face. He put his arm's around you and lifted you to rest. With the help of his Angel's they flew you to your heavenly place. God's garden must be beautiful, he always takes his best, He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough the hills too hard to climb. He closed your weary eyelids and whispered (Peace Be Thine) It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. We love you Bruce,Charlene and Family

My dear sister Ruth. You were my rock when I came to Evanston during one of the most trying times in my life. You and Dewitt were so supportive of me. I will always feel a special bond with you in so many ways.

Oops, family, that kind of long message about butterflies and music was from me, Caroline.

My Dearest Aunt Ruth, Your laugh and voice are forever etched in my heart. Your love and guidance (sometimes scolding lol) were such huge parts of my childhood. You and unlce Dee not only helped me to grow and become the woman that I am today...your home was my other home. The door was always open, and love and open arms greeted me each and every time. For as long as I can remember, I think of you, aunt Ruth, whenever I see a butterfly. You taught me to appreciate their gentle beauty and I saw God's love and acceptance in that. It was you who gifted me a piano to fuel what began as musical curiosity and lead to a lifelong journey in song. The piano was my comfort whenever I felt sadness. And wherever I was, singing or playing, your love was a part of it all. I will love you always. I'm so sorry I didn't come to visit like I promised I would. I kept thinking we would have time when the pandemic ended. That regret cuts deep, but your love and memory will endure all time. Uncle Dee, little Dee, Neice and Timmy, I am so sorry for your loss and for your children's losses. May the memory of her love, laughter, and incredible strength offer you all some bit of comfort during this difficult time. I love you all very much.

Ruth, you lit up every room that you entered. Your beautiful smile and your kind heart always felt like a special gift that I will always cherish. Rest in peace my dear sister, until we meet again. I love you very much. Willa
