Obituary For Rutha Jean Ferguson

Ruthie Jean Ferguson 85, of Tifton, Ga transitioned this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 04, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Oakridge Cemetery. (YOU MUST WEAR A MASK).

Public viewing will be held on Friday, September 03, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Southview Mortuary (Tifton location). YOU MUST WEAR A FACIAL COVERING to enter the facility.

Pastor Ferguson was born on December 28, 1935 in Ocilla, Ga., to late Mr. John Henry McNeal and Ms. Marie Bagley. Pastor Ferguson accepted Christ at an early age. She was Pastor of Mt. Carmel House of God Saints in Christ Lenox, Ga.

Pastor Ferguson, loved her children, family and Mt. Carmel Church family, but most of all she loved God. Mama Rutha enjoyed sewing and making salmon patties and biscuits for her boys. Her doors were always open for anyone who was in need of a place to lay your head.

Pastor Ferguson transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home on August 25,2021. Pastor Ferguson is preceded in death by her Parents: ; her 6 Siblings: Johnny C. McNeal, Eddie McNeal, Willis McNeal, LeNora Graydon, Ruth McClendon and Mary Pettiford.

Pastor Ferguson leaves to cherish her memories: her Children: Elder Lloyd (Joyce) Pringle, Bishop Leroy (Keisha) Ferguson, Arsie (Cedric) Harriston, Artis Bailey and Joe Lee Alexander; her Goddaughters: Jennifer (Terry) Bradley, Beverly Fulton and Linda Davis; 2 Special neighbors: Lisa Davis and Gail Hemmingway; and a host of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
