Jesse R. Lindsay, 53, of Walnut Cove, NC, died August 20, 2021. The family will received friends from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC and the Memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel.

Jesse Rodell Lindsay, the son of the late James Robert Lindsay and Wilma Joyce Lindsay was born November 25, 1968 and departed this life on August 20, 2021 at Maina Soko Military Hospital, Lusaka Zambia. Jesse lived most of his life in Walnut Cove, NC area where he attended Stokes County schools. After graduation he attended Forsyth Technical Community College to study Nursing. He left before graduation to join the US Army. He became a Battlefield Medic for an Artillery Group and served in Texas, Hawaii, California, and Thailand. After leaving the service he worked in Hawaii at civilian hospitals and among other duties, he treated people after natural disasters - like the Tsunami in the Pacific. He frequently had a story to tell about his time in the Army, jumping from helicopters, training with the Airborne Rangers and much more. Jesse was a devoted father to his daughter, Ellice that he loved with all his heart. He was a quiet and reserved man who enjoyed his privacy. He loved African art, believed in God, believed in marriage, loved animals, and loved the farm.

Jesse is survived by: his wife; Misozi of Lusaka, Zambia, his beloved daughter Ellice, who resides with her mother, Misty Bright of Winston Salem, NC, his twin brother; James Robert Lindsay Jr. of Sanford NC, siblings; Carlton Lindsay (Bernadette) of Winston Salem, Joseph Lindsay (Kandi) of Winston Salem and Alicia Lindsay of Raleigh, NC. He also leaves to mourn his loss a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors and friends.
