OBITUARY:

Alpha: On February 5, 196 in Panola County, finally a beautiful daughter Bobbie was born to the late Ira McKinney and Mattie Beale McKinney in Batesville, MS. She attended Macedonia Elementary School and Patton Lane High School. She futhered her education at Mississippi Industrial College in Holly Springs. Bobbie acknowledged her need for salvation at an early age and accepted Christ as her personal savior at Concord Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. McClendon.

Later in life she moved to Tchula, MS and was employed by the Holmes County School District. As an educator, she touched the life of many. She retired from the school system in 1997, but her love for children continued as she provided a loving space for infants, preschoolers and others in her home. All of the children lovingly referred to her as GG or Granny.

On September 1, 1971, she was united in holy matrimony to Dornal Gregory, her soulmate and to this union two children were born, Youlanda and Rashida. Dornal and Youlanda preceded her in death. Bobbie has an infectious smile, and was often called Granny Jr., after her aunt, Earnestine "Granny" Butler. She attended Mt. Calvary M.B. Church under the leadership of the late C.L. Clark for many years. At the time of her death, she was a member of Chief Cornerstone Deliverance Center under the leadership of Apostle Ethel Johnson.

Omega: On August 27, 2021, she transcended earthly bonds and relinquished her spirit by answering the call of her personal Savior. She leaves to cherish her life and legacy to: Her Daughter; Rashida Ife Gregory, Tchula, MS; two brothers; Rev. W.O. McKinney, Memphis, TN; and Thomas James McKinney(Donna) Bellwood, IL; six brothers preceded her in death; Ira McKinney, Jr.; Edward McKinney(Evvie Mae), Herman McKinney, John McKinney, Roosevelt McKinney(Gladys) and Marchell McKinney.
