I was very saddened to hear that Pat had died. She was remarkable and very much a people person. We worked together in County Administration, and I very much enjoyed and cherish having the opportunity to know her. I recall two very wonderful expressions of her generosity and caring spirit. One time she made a phone call to all mothers to come to Personnel. We did and she presented us with a small plant to commemorate Mothers' Day. Another time she and her Mother invited staff to come to her Mother's house for a Southern fried chicken luncheon. Her Mom was a great cook and had the same wonderful personality as Pat. I also admired Pat for her strength in dealing with her health problems. My condolences to Pat and her family during this difficult time. Virginia W. Sobotkin

I got to know Pat as we were both county employees. Our work relationship became a friendship. Her joy in life was contagious, as was her mirth and glee. She was a true gem. I looked forward to running into her when out and about, as our paths crossed often. When I did, it always made my day better. And then there was her cakes and peach ice tea! She was a true talent. I'll miss her.

Patricia was a wonderful delight. I worked with her at Catawba County. She was always smiling and happy. She really enjoyed all people. She had that bulletin board in her office with pictures of everyone's babies and my grandson, Trent, was among them. He was born premature at 26 weeks and was in NICU for 3-months. When she told me she was praying for him, I knew she was. There was no doubt in my mind that she mentioned him to Jesus in her prayers. That baby is now 19 and doing very well. Patricia will be missed by everyone she encountered. She was such a blessing to those who knew her. Hold those memories close to heart and know that she had a very good life in our Lord Jesus and she is with Him now. Sending hugs and love to her family, Cindy Meadows
