Carrie Mae McCalister was born November 24, 1933 to the late Mr. Thomas (Estelle) Gartrell. She entered into eternal rest and earned her wings on August 25, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

A funeral service will held on Friday, September 3, 2021 12:00 p.m. at the Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 2451 Edgefield Rd. Trenton SC. Interment will follow in the Sun Set Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Viewing will be held at the Church from 10:00 a.m. to the hour of Service.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Deliverance Straightway Holiness Church, 613 Clifton Road , Atlanta GA. 30316.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, sons, Elijah McCalister, Jr., Bobby (Mary) McCalister, Harry McCalister, Charlie (Mary) McCalister, one daughter, Shirley (Maurice) James. Sisters, Ruby Gartrell, Jackie Mickens, Joann (Jacob) Bush. Brothers, Joseph Gartrell, Matthew Gartrell, Isaiah Gartrell, Willie George (Sheila)Gartrell. 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 16 Godchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
