Obituary For Ricardo Geovonni "Rickey" Eaton

Mr. Ricardo Geovonni "Rickey" Eaton, 57, passed away on September 1, 2021. There will not be any service information announced at this time.

On May 30, 1964, the Lord blessed Richard Eaton and Georgia Swain Eaton of Talladega, Alabama with a son they named Ricardo Geovanni “Rickey” Eaton.

Mr. Eaton made the decision to follow God's word at a young age. Rickey made Mt. Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church his place of worship since this was the church his parents chose to make their church home. Of course there could not be any excuse as to why he could not be on time for service since the Eaton family lived next door to the church. Both of Rickey’s parents were educators, so it was important that he received an education. He attended school in the city of Talladega and his education concluded at Talladega High School. After completing high school, Rickey joined the work force and worked in maintenance for the Talladega County Board of Education until his passing.

When Rickey was not at work, you could find him riding his Harley Davidson, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. On September 28, 1991, Ricardo Geovanni Eaton took the hand of Annie P. Beck in holy matrimony.

On the morning of September 1, 2021, the Lord called Mr. Eaton to rest in eternity. He was proceeded in passing by his mother, Georgia Eaton.

Mr. Eaton’s memory will forever live in the heart of his wife, Annie P. Beck-Eaton of Talladega, Alabama; his father, Richard Eaton of Talladega, Alabama; two children, Orgena L. Ingram-Eaton and Ricardo G. Eaton of Talladega, Alabama; two grandchildren, Zharea and JaLayah; one sister, Bridget (Satchel) Ridley of College Park, Georgia; one aunt, Kay Lee of Teaneck, New Jersey; one uncle, Donald (Ruth) Eaton of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

My condolences to the Eaton family. Mr. Eaton and Rickey are special since we all three worked for the Talladega County School System. One of the fondest memories was when the two men painted my family home; they were wonderful. Please know that God is reaching out to you and his presence will bring you the comfort that only he can give. Nancy Lehe
