Obituary For Elder Allie Lorraine White

Allie Lorraine White was born on February 13, 1943 to the parentage of the late Rev. Grover and Deaconess Florence Shaw in Fort Pierce, FL. She was the youngest of six, who loved and spoiled her. She was affectionately called Lorraine by all that knew and loved her.

Lorraine matriculated through the school system of St. Lucie County. She grew up in the House of God Church on 16th and Ave. D. After graduation, she lived New York. Later, she moved to Nashville and attended Tennessee State University. She later met and married the Late Bishop George Alexander White on June 3, 1977, who loved, adored her and she was apple of his eye. God blessed them to parent, mold and touch and have a lifelong affect upon many.

Elder Lorraine White along with her sister Bishop Grover Mae Dozier began a ministry “Pentecostal House of God Faith Temple” along with many others. Later, God told them to return to the House of God in 1990 during the Sunday School Convention held at House of God #1. Bishop Grover Dozier and the membership embarked on a journey with Bishop George White as their mentor and built House of God #2 on Georgia Ave. She served and worked untiringly in the church. She was an ordained Elder, Presiding Elder, Assistant Pastor House of God #2, and Pastor of House of God #2, Evangelist and she worked in many other capacities. Her last pastor in the House of God was General Elder Calvin Crenshaw in Greenville, Alabama at the Mother Church. Elder Alfred Martin acted as son and took back and forward to the Mother Church on many occasion, when she called he answered.

On Monday early in the morning, God sent his angel to beckon her home to a place of no more suffering or pain. She was preceded in death by her husband Bishop George Alexander White, her parents Rev. Grover and Deaconess Florence Shaw, her sisters Bishop Grover Dozier and Lonnie Bell Dawson and her brothers Fred Bacon, Lorenzo Bacon and Bernard Shaw. Along with her aunts Katie Davis, Berta Barnes, Redie James and Deaconess Lillie Bell Redmond and her grandson Lionheart Moody.
