Dallas "Pluck" "Mr. D" Guidry, Sr.

CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Berean Baptist Church, 325 East Elm St., Crowley, LA for Mr. Dallas Guidry, Sr. , affectionately known as “Pluck” and “Mr. B”, 90, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.

Pastor Dennis Smith, Sr. of Berean Baptist Church will be officiating the funeral service. Mr. Guidry was a member of Berean Baptist Church. He enjoyed doing yard work, planting, gardening and watching sports especially football. His favorite two teams were the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching the western shows.

Mr. Guidry leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Dallas (Mary) Guidry, Jr. and Robert (Tammy) Guidry, both of Baytown, TX and Yancy (Rochelle) Guidry, Sr. of Crowley, LA; one daughter, Abbie Oliver (Leon) of Crowley, LA; one brother, Earl (Gwen) Guidry of Branch, LA; four sisters-in-law, Gertie Bates of Crowley, LA, Audrey Guidry and Bertha Guidry both of Rayne, LA and Barbara Guidry of Lafayette, LA; two Godchildren, Betty Baker and Tyoka Bates; twenty grandchildren; forty great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Shirley Bates Guidry; his parents, Lester and Vitty Guidry; seven brothers, John Guy, Rodney Guidry, Robert Guidry, Lester Guidry, Jr., Horace Guidry, Sr. Harry James Guidry, Sr. and Jimmy Guidry; and sis sisters, Ida Jackson, Alzena Bowman, Willie Ruth Carter, Norma Jean Alexander, Roseanna Smith and Rosemary Guidry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church.
