Obituary For Keevon Harris

Keevon Nelson Harris was born on July 10, 1991, to the late Kevin Maurice and Veronica Harris. He departed this life on August 31, 2021.

Keevon attached W.A. Bess Elementary School, Cramerton Middle School, and Forestview High School in Gastonia, NC. He was a highly skilled athlete excelling in track and field, basketball, and football. Some called him the best football player in Gaston County. He was a bruiser, powerful and strong. His skill level bumped him straight to the varsity team, skipping junior varsity all together. His favorite professional football team was the Arizona Cardinals and his favorite color was red. His music favorite was the rapper Blac Youngsta. At the time of his death, Keevon was employed at Chili’s restaurant as a cook.

Keevon was a very devoted, single father of his 11-year-old daughter Aubrey Nicole Harris. They spent quality time together. They loved to watch Sponge Bob and have fun swimming at the pool.

Keevon spent many hours playing video games with his best buddy, Phillip Gardner, who was his lifelong friend. Call of Duty was The Game. Phillip and his children created a family bond with Keevon and Aubrey.

We will miss Keevon’s laughs and quiet smile. Life proved to be a great challenge for him at times. He lost his father at the age of 16. His parents, siblings, and best friend enabled him to overcome many challenges of life. Aubrey was the force that made him work and establish himself. He loved her more than anything.

Keevon leaves to mourn his daughter, Aubrey Harris; his mother Veronica Harris, his brothers, Aaron Taylor and Terrell Harris (Diane Le), a sister Brittany Dorothy and a great host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing/visitation will be Monday; September 6, 2021 at the funeral home from 11 until 12 noon

A private service will be held by the family
