~ Obituary ~

Betty Jean Walden was born on September 22, 1951, to the late Elijah & Rose Ella Arnold. God called her home at the age of 69 to a peaceful rest from the comforts of her home August 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Edward, Sr., Jessie Lee & Elijah Frank Arnold along with sisters: Eddie Mae Trueblood & Linda Arnold.

Betty was educated in the Brooks County School System. Homemaker, Faithful member of House of Joy, HOGSIC & served on the Mother’s Board. Over the years she took care of several babies for family & friends, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, joy riding, going to the Scott Senior Center & especially living for the Lord.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories is her daughter Valerie Jones (LaTravis) of Thomasville, Ga., five brothers: Louis Arnold (Margaret) Springhill, Fl, Tommy Arnold, Sr. (Leola) Madison, FL, Major Arnold (Mildred)Ocala, FL, Robert Arnold (Robbie) Coolidge, Ga.& Lee James Arnold (Adel, Ga.), five sisters, Gladys & Dorothy Arnold (Adel, GA), Mary Arnold (Thomasville, Ga.), Rosa Wyche (Boston), Allene Davis (Charlie, Jr.) Pavo, Ga. Four grandchildren: Kiera Arnold, Ronnie,III & Aliya Larkins, Miracle Jones. Three grandchildren: Jayden Hayes, Emma & Jalani Jackson. A host of nephews, nieces, family & friends.

A celebration of life will be Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11AM at the Boston Cemetery with Pastor Verbetha Tillis, eulogist. Visitation will be Thursday at the Stevens McGhee Chapel from 5PM-7PM.
