Mrs. Regina Ann Williams, affectionately known as “Deana” was born on April 10, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama to Betty Jean Seawright and the late Napoleon Cook Sr. She was the eldest of four siblings.
At the age of six, she moved to Valdosta, Georgia where she attended the Valdosta City School system.
On March 23, 1980, Regina married her loving husband of 42 years, Arthur James Williams Sr. In the course of this union, they nurtured a blended family of three boys and four girls.
Regina Williams is preceded in death by Napoleon Cook, Sr. (Father), Jimmy Lewis Gray (Brother), Steven Bernard Williams (Son), Perry Adam Seawright (Step-Father), and Maddie Lee Warren (Grandmother).
She was a member of Alpha & Omega Church, where she served as secretary for many years.
She was an employee at Langdale Place in Valdosta, Georgia. If you knew Regina Williams, you knew she lived with a spirit of hospitality. Her passion for cooking became her ministry. She was known for her tasty pound cakes, savory cornbread dressing and buttery biscuits. She had a great sense of humor, keeping her family and friends entertained with food and laughter. Regina was like a mother to many, providing support, encouragement, and having a listening ear when needed. In addition to her personality, she was bold, strong-willed and straight forward. The best way to describe her was “REAL”.
She leaves to cherish her everlasting memories: Her loving husband Arthur James Williams, Sr. of Valdosta, GA; Mother Betty Jean Seawright of Valdosta, GA; Children: Arthur Williams Jr. (Patricia) of Norfolk VA, Tony Warren (Teresa) of Conyers, GA, Patrina Williams of Quitman, GA, Telisha Whitlock (Victor) of Lake Park, GA, Corey Williams (KiKi) of Killeen, TX, Corene Marrero of Valdosta, GA, and Veronica Williams of Lake Park, GA; Siblings: Napoleon Cook Jr. (Christine) of Birmingham, AL, Michael Gray of Valdosta, GA, Sharon Gray of Valdosta, GA and a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
A celebration to honor her life will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11AM at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, GA with Pastor Floyd Demps, eulogist. Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 5PM-7PM. Continue to keep the family in your daily thoughts and prayers as they face the days ahead.
