Obituary For James A Davis

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

James A. Davis, aka Teensy, age 69, of Warrenton, North Carolina departed this life on Friday, September 03, 2021 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12’noon at St. Zion Baptist Church in the Liberia Community, Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Antonio Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery in Warrenton, NC.

He leaves his memories to be cherished by his mother Gertrude Davis of Warrenton, NC; three children: Antonio “Turtle” Arthur Davis of Clinton, MD, Sparkle “Shortcake” Renee Perry (Devin) of Warrenton, NC, and Xavier “Zay Boo” James Davis of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Laiana, Devin, Zaya, and Ace’on; four siblings: Oscar Davis (Linda) of Warrenton, NC, Betty Goganious of Virginia Beach, VA, Kevin Alphonso Davis of Warrenton, NC, and Murl Parker (Lorenzo) of Norfolk, VA; three special cousins: Joyce Davis of Charlotte, NC; Fannie Davis (Larry) of Charlotte, NC, and Celvid “Booster” Davis of Henderson, NC; special friends: Chester Silver, Willie Bullock, McCoin Brown, Coach James Howell, Ronald Tunstall, Matthew “Dick” Williams, and dear friend Essie Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. James Davis may be viewed on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Boyd & Royster Funeral Services from 12noon until 5:00pm.
