Obituary For Leroy "Sweetie and Roy Ray" Smith

Leroy Smith "Sweetie and Roy Ray" age 66 passed away September 3, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Ella Sue Smith Marable; Daughter, Suzette Covington; Sister, Marilyn Marable.

Leroy is survived by his loving and devoted companion, Suzette Alexander as he affectionately called her Suzy Q; Grandchildren, Charles Lee "Bubba" and Jalishia Covington and their children; Seven siblings; John "Baybro" Marable, Teresa (Michael) Carter, Carl Marable, Raymond (Robyn) Marable, Jerry "JDwayne" Marable, Tina Marable Roper and Shirley (Harold) Strong; Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

SERVICES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Drive through visitation Friday, September 10, 2021 Time: 12:00 Noon-2:00 PM Hellum Funeral Chapel.

To : cousin Leroy Smith You ,your sister Teresa and I (Deborah )join church at the same time and got baptized in the stone river water behind where the old Silver Springs church was located. All three of us was looking as the deacons step down in a deep hole as they came back to get each if us to wade in the water to get baptized by the late RevE.W.Roberson.......it was a joyful day. I know you are rejoicing with Jesus and your Mother,Sister,daughter,niece and more .You be missed but God want you to come on home and take your rest . Love you family with our sincere pray. Leroy was a friend and brother for over 50 years. In all those years we never heard him complain...not one time. We loved him and loved his sweet spirit. Thank God he is running in heaven with all his loved ones. Beth and Barry Edwards
