Obituary For Julius Rosco Parker, II

A celebration of life for Mr. Julius Rosco Parker, II of Lineville, 64, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Vineyard Worship Center, Lineville. Mask are strongly advised. Pastor Cynthia Parker will deliver the eulogy. Mr. Parker will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the funeral home.

Mr. Julius Rosco Parker, II began life’s journey on April 16, 1957, in Birmingham, Alabama to the union of Julius Rosco Parker and Hattie Lee Phillips Parker.

Mr. Parker committed his life to Christ and worshipped under the leadership of Vineyard Worship Center. He served in the capacity of deacon and as a technician with the audio department. Julius was a member of the 1976 graduating class of A. H. Parker High School and continued his education at Bessemer Technical Community College. Mr. Parker had been an employee with the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital and Homeland Security as a HVAC specialist.

Rosco enjoyed watching Alabama football, skating, playing around with technology, drag/street racing, karate and detailing cars. On December 24, 1997, Julius took the hand of the former Cynthia D. Garrett in holy matrimony and they remained in covenant with God until his passing.

In the early morning hours of September 4, 2021, the Lord told Julius to come and he would give him rest. He was preceded in passing by his father, Julius R. Parker; and a sister, Michelle A. Parker.

Julius leaves to mourn his passing: his wife of 23 years, Cynthia D. Parker of Lineville, Alabama; his mother, Hattie L. Parker of Fairfield, Alabama; one daughter, Ashlai M. Parker of Birmingham, Alabama; two sons, Julius Rosco (Chaun) Parker, III of Birmingham, Alabama and Christian Tyler Parker of Lineville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Kyrie Parker, Julius Parker, IV., Caleb Williams and Dedrick Williams; two sisters, Prudence D. (Reverend Jimmy) Wright of Los Angeles, California and Janice P. (Robert Paul) Hollman of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Man this hurt me to my heart,Rock was my boy man, all the times at the skating rink on Valley Avenue, not to mention all the racing we did and Roscoe had the white Trans Am with the red lights under it. We use to sit on the driveway with him and Mr. Parker and talk stuff. Rock man if I had known you know I would have been at your funeral and thanks for going and getting my family when we had that wreck that night 37 years ago. Your cousin broke the news to me at work and I broke down again because I had just lost my daughter that May. Rest in heaven bro, you will always be my partner

I am blessed to have been able to have been in this man's presence. When I share my testimony, I share of the times I have seen what I would say in my lifetime I have seen the spirit of Jesus in this world. I've been welcomed by this family and by this man. I know the lights in heaven shine a little brighter this day, with our Lord saying welcome home. As for my family if there is a need; we are no further than a call away. The DeLongs.
