Floyd Kelly, 67, of Silver Leaf Ridge, Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center. He was born in McComb, Mississippi, son of the late Coy Kelly, Sr. and the late Zonnie Carter Kelly, received his formal education in the Harrisburg School District and started working early in life holding various positions throughout, including with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as a mail clerk. Floyd was united in marriage with Priscilla Clark. His life was blessed with four incredible children, Tylicka Twyman-Burwell, Alishia Kelly, Christien Kelly and Ziair Kelly-Richardson. He was blessed with friendship, love and companionship with his wife and his beloved friend, LaKisha Richardson. Floyd loved God, attending church, speaking with family on the phone and always ended each call with “I love you.” He loved food, especially Priscilla’s yams with marshmallows on top. He was meticulous and enjoyed cleaning. Floyd loved football and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent many game days excitedly discussing the plays and team with family and friends. Floyd always checked on his children and grandchildren regarding their education. He rooted for everyone. Floyd appreciated life and had a giving spirit. He had a giving heart, always showed love, cared about his family and gave back to his community. He could often be found volunteering at community food banks. In his leisure, he enjoyed walking, riding his bike and spending time in nature. Floyd will be remembered as being humble, peaceful, helpful, polite and giving. In addition to his parents, he joined his brother, Willie J. Kelly and sister, Versie L. Kelly. His family and friends will miss his patient, kind and quiet nature. He leaves his children, nieces and nephews with fond memories of their time spent going to the park, playing board games, card games, reading, coloring contests and practicing sports.
