Obituary For William Russell Greathouse

Mr. William Russell "Mr. Wonderful" Greathouse was born to the late William C. Greathouse and Willow Dean Roden Greathouse on October 7, 1963 in Fort Payne, Dekalb County Al. He departed this life Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Dekalb Regional Hospital. He was Employed by Prewett Home Plate for Twenty- Five Years and was later an Employee of United Grocery Outlet for Ten Years. Russell dedicated his life to christ at an early age. He was an dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Douglas; Where he served as a Sunday School teacher and member of the trustee board. Russell loved his church family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents William C., And Willow Dean Greathouse. He leaves to cherish his memory brother Ray Allen Greathouse, Fort Payne, Al, Sister Chaunda Denise Greathouse, Fort Payne, Al. Four aunts; Lola Dot Jennings, Fort Payne, Al, Erma Greathouse, Columbus, Oh, Mae Roden, Sarasota, Fl Catherine Roden, Varnville, Sc. Uncle Eugene Cooper, Sarasota, Fl. Special friend Keturah Bright; special daughter Casandra Jones Laysley and a host of Cousins,Relatives and Friends.

Graveside services 12 Noon Saturday, September 18,2021 at Glenwood Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Price Officiating. Public viewing Friday, September 17,2021 5-7 P.M. First Baptist Church, Douglas Community.
