OPELOUSAS - Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plaisance, LA for Mr. Alcide “Killa” Thomas, Jr., 82, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m.

Father Clifton Labbe will be officiating the memorial service.

Mr. Thomas was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plaisance, LA. He was also a member of Plaisance Riders Trailride Association.

Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Hazel Rosette Thomas; three sons, Jeffery (Jacquelyn) Thomas, Adrian Thomas and Wilbert (Shira) Rosette; five daughters, Barbara Thomas, Linda Richard (Daniel), Hazel Ann Chavis (Percy), Deborah Rosette and Marie Rosette; one brother, Donald (Grace) Thomas; two sisters, Lucille Jones and Barbara Brown (Simon); thirty grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Marguerite McCarthy and father, Alcide Thomas, Sr.; one son, Ronald Thomas; three brothers, Joe Thomas, Lonnie Thomas and Jerome Thomas; one sister, Brenda Bias; and one grandson, Jerome Woodly.
