International Free & Accepted Modern Masons Inc. and Order of the Eastern Star Illustrious Kenneth L. Hollowell, 33°, Supreme President Sister Monique Walton, Supreme Grand Matron CONSTELLATION CHAPTER #222 DISTRICT #1, NYC RESOLUTION OF RESPECT WHEREAS: Sister Cynthia Holmes joined the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star uniting with Constellation Chapter #222. Her quest for knowledge and understanding led her to exemplify honesty, courage, love, kindness, endurance, and courtesy to the highest Degree of the Order, AND WHEREAS: she was prepared to faithfully perform the duties and to accept the responsibilities of a true sister. Her knowledge and leadership capabilities were developed and utilized to the fullest, AND WHEREAS: friendship is a golden chain, our chain of friendship was broken when Sister Cynthia Holmes stepped to the other side of the River of Jordan. Answering the call of our Lord when He said, "the day is done, the work is finished, lay down your tools and come to the kingdom I prepared for you from the beginning of the world", AND WHEREAS: we may never consult with her about our worldly affairs and problems. She had advised, taught, and consoled us on different aspects of life. She tried to speak a word of hope and to lend a hand that would help and never hinder. We will always remember and feel the comforting presence and know, that she watches over us. AND BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT: Sister Cynthia Holmes is waiting for us in the city of peace and we can count on God's word, for He said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you". We find strength in these words and are enabled to bury our selfish grief. We offer this testimony of our sympathy and sorrow to the family, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: we the members of Constellation Chapter #222 rejoice in the time shared with Sister Cynthia Holmes. Proverbs 16:9 states, "A man's heart chooses his way but God directed his steps". Our hearts are glad Sister Cynthia Holmes chose International Masons and Order of the Eastern Star and that God directed her steps our way. We find comfort and hope that the family and friends can find the same comfort in knowing that she is no longer sick and suffering but well and happy with our Lord. She is tenderly loved and protected from sickness, evil and wrong. She eagerly awaits us at heavens door, secure in the knowledge that "death is but the beginning of life"; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: We who have known and loved her and whose passing has brought sad tears will cherish her memory always to brighten the passing years, AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED THAT: A copy of this Resolution be placed in the archives of Constellation Chapter #222 and a copy given to the family. Spiritually submitted this 17th Day of September 2021 Sister Margaret Dalton Sister Stephanie Moher Worthy Matron Recording Secretary

I spoke to some of the ladies you worked with, and to listen to them reminiscing about you was truly a blessing. Family she is wrapped in the loving arms of "God". May she rest in peace.
