Obituary For Johnnie Robinson

Deacon Johnnie Robinson, 90, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at home on September 05, 2021, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born on June 02, 1931. He was one of 14 children born to the late Deacon Louis Robinson and Sophia Payne-Robinson of Clinton (Hinds County), Mississippi; 13 of whom preceded him in death, Ernest, Curtis, Katie, Maggie, Willie Charles, Benjamin, Carrie, Louis, Jessie (his twin), Alice, Robert Lee, Laymon, and Clarence. In 1965, he was ordained a Deacon at Holy Ghost M.B. Church and faithfully served Holy Ghost for 56 years until his health declined. Deacon Robinson will be dearly missed and always remembered. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret, and their daughters, Teri, Amy, and Carmen.

The public viewing is Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 12pm-7pm with the family hour from 5-7pm at Collins Northside Chapel, 461 W. Northside Dr, Jackson, MS 39206.

The funeral and farewell services to celebrate his life will be held at Holy Ghost M.B. Church at 203 W. Northside Dr, Clinton, MS 39056, on Friday, September 10th at 11 AM. Repast following burial at The Clinton Event Center, 957 US-80E, Clinton, MS 39056.
