My Sweet Jean, It has taken me a few days to gather my thoughts to compose these words from my heart. We worked in our classroom for many years, "Two-peas in a pod-Ms. Jean & Ms. Tasha". You were one of the most giving people I know. You spent countless dollars buying school supplies, clothes, shoes, and etc. for kids in need or just because you wanted to. I can remember days that we left school to go shopping for our students. As a new teacher, you poured wisdom into me from having your own daycare. You always made sure the classroom was clean and the morning work was ready to go before you left for the day. Your bulletin boards were always ruler-centered and straight, you loved doing bulletin boards. I can vividly see you washing the students' faces after naptime to make sure they were presentable before going home. You were always thinking about the elderly people at the nursing home and picking them up little treats. Oh, let me not forget—you made a dynamite Cream Cheese Pound Cake. I asked you to make it so much; you gave me the recipe and I'm still cooking it. I have so many memories of you; I could go on and on. I'll miss you, but your legacy will live on in what you've taught me. Enjoy your Mary-Kay, iron-creased jeans, mints and floss up in Heaven—something you always had. Love, Mrs. Tasha

Ms.Jean it was a honor and a pleasure working with you in Athens,Ga. I knew my day was never complete until I saw Ms.Jean so we could laugh and get candy out of Ms Tasha's hidden stash lol. After she retired and I was no longer working for the school district, Ms. Jean would visit the assisted living facility I was working at, she was there at least 3 times a week visiting with the residents. Ms Jean was truly heaven sent...Take your rest. My prayers to the family, she will be deeply missed here in Athens, Ga.
