Florrie “Ma Flo” Williams was born on January 13, 1945 in Green Pond, South Carolina to the late William and Lucille Hugine. She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of Jerusalem A.M.E. Church at an early age. Florrie graduated from the Colleton County School District before moving to Sarasota, Florida, where she made home for more than 50 years.

On the morning of August 25, 2021, she answered the Lord's call, and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Hugine and several siblings.

“Ma Flo” is survived by three daughters, Demetrus Dawkins of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary (Eddie) Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida and Ursler (Joseph) Williams-Randall of Parrish, Florida; three stepsons, Oscar (Tracy) Williams of Tampa, Florida, John (Ashley) Morris of Bradenton, Florida and Shawn Williams of Abu Dhabi; a bonus daughter, Dineatha King of Fort Payne, Alabama; four sisters, Mae Roden, Elizabeth Hugine, and Louise Phillips, all of Sarasota, Florida and Sue (Milton) Peterson of North Port, Florida; two brothers, Richard Hugine and Abraham (Sandra) Brown, both of Sarasota, Florida; five sisters-in-law, Doris Clark, Mary Litt and Carrie Mayes, all of Greenville, MS, Dorothy Hugine of Bronx, New York and Kathie Hugine of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Terrell (Tene’) Corn, Tatra Carmichael, Mya Richardson and Ssenc and Jaylah Randall; one great-grandson, Tre’ Anthony Corn; one bonus grandson, Kobe King; ten step-grandchildren; two special nieces, Luethel Atkins and Terri Hugine; two special nephews, Sheldon Roden and Dumaka Atkins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Sep. 10, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:30am on Sat. Sep. 11, 2021 at Light of the World International Church. Burial will be held at Palms Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
