Obituary For Della Mae Young Taylor Riddle

Della Mae Young Taylor Riddle - Sunrise: September 8, 1925 – Sunset: August 28, 2021

It’s with great sadness the Riddle Family announces their beloved mother and grandmother Sister Della Mae Young Taylor Riddle, 95, transition to her eternal reward on August 28, 2021 at her daughter's home in Brandon after a courageous and lengthy battle with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. She passed peacefully in her sleep. Ms. Riddle was under the care of Life Path Hospice of Ruskin, Florida and prior to Dr. DeRay, Arcadia Medical, Sarasota, Florida.

Visitation will be held Saturday September 11, 2021 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Jones Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday September 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home. A burial will proceed at Galilee Cemetery. Followed by a Celebration of Life Reception Sunday September 12, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Suite Affairs Event Studio, 1921 Northgate Blvd., Sarasota Fl, 34234.

She leaves to cherish her memories; a loving and devoted daughter, Josie Riddle- Brookins; sons, Hardrick Riddle Jr. and Rickie Riddle Sr.; sisters Cora Dubose and Catherine Spates, brother; Alton Young; 8 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Sister Riddle's final journey ride on this earth will be led by horse and carriage in route from MLK Jr. Way to Galilee Cemetery.

The family requests that everyone follow the Covid-19 Guidelines for the safety of everyone.
