My dear Hartsfield family, Cicero is certainly missed here on earth. But know in your hearts that he has put on his 'ROBE', and I wish he could tell us his 'STORY' of how he made it 'OVER'. He has made it "HOME", and Cicero is now wearing his well deserved "CROWN". Farewell our Ambassador of PEACE. Sincerely. JAN.

I will forever remember my Line Brother (#4), Disciples of Darkness- Spring'75. He was giving, always celebrating the accomplishments of others. There is no reason for a eulogy; he lived his own. Enter into Divine Rest. You will be missed.

This is a very difficult time for me. I know we all must and will travel down this path at some point in our lives, but it still does not lesson the pain when someone close to us trandsends home. To Joni, Cynthia, Maico, Idus, Ashley, Chris, Mary, Eleanor Vivian, Penny, Richard, and Reba please know that everyone who knew Cicero is keeping you all in their prayers and thoughts. I have known Cicero for practically my entire life, as I have his brothers and sisters.  From nursery school to adulthood. From Smokey Hollow to Capital Circle to Emerald Chase Dr. From Lucy Moulton to Leon High School. We were in line next to each for our graduation from FAMU. He was the best man for my first marriage. There is no better friend that one could have. Through thick and thin he was always there. Giving, supportive, kind, smart, resilient, and dependable are a few descriptors that come to mind when describing my friend. There are few who knew him that can utter a disparaging word about him. That is the kind of person Cicero was and how he will be remembered by many. I would like to offer a few lines from a poem that I love by John Luckey McCreery. Due to the poem's length (it is long) I will recite the 1st four verses and end with the last two verses. There is no death! The stars go down To rise upon some other shore, And bright in heaven's jeweled crown They shine for evermore. There is no death! The dust we tread Shall change beneath the summer showers To golden grain or mellow fruit Or rainbow-tinted flowers. The granite rocks disorganise To feed the hungry moss they bear; The forest leaves drink daily life From out the viewless air. There is no death! The leaves may fall, And flowers may fade and pass away -- They only wait, through wintry hours, The coming of the May. Born unto that undying life, They leave us but to come again; With joy we welcome them -- the same Except in sin and pain. And ever near us, though unseen, The dear immortal spirits tread; For all the boundless universe Is Life -- there is no dead! Rest in peace my friend.

I'll miss Cicero immensely, my heart is so heavy. He was an amazing man...always a smile on his face and always a kind word of encouragement and support for those he came in contact with, always. When we worked on the SWSCF Community Leaders Banquet & Golf Tournament, Cicero always said, "Sis, don't worry. I love working with you. You're doing a great job!"
