MR. TITO ROOSEVELT JACKSON, son of the Dorothy Jackson Hite and the late Theodore Roosevelt Jackson, was born April 23, 1976 in Mecklenburg County, VA. God summoned him to eternal rest and peace on Friday, September 3, 2021 in VCU-MCV Critical Care Unit, Richmond, VA. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Lewis Hite, Jr.

At an early age he was baptized and joined Bethel Memorial RZUA Church. He received his education from Mecklenburg County Public School System.

Tito was employed by Burger King in South Hill, VA for many years until his health began to decline.

Tito was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend; loved by all who knew him. He was affectionately known for his fun spirited and strong personality; his great charisma and he had a heart that loved people. When coming in contact with him, no matter the day nor the hour his smile would brighten up the day. To know him was to love him. Tito was always the life of the party. At every family event he was known as the dancing machine. Whenever he caught someone out of line, he would always say, “Is you a fool?” We will miss seeing him pointing his finger to get us together.

Tito leaves to mourn two children- Jameriyo Crute, Bracey, VA and Kentrall Harris, South Hill, VA; grandson- Kai Smith, Baltimore, MD; a loving and devoted mother- Dorothy Jackson Hite of the home; his brother and best friend- Christopher (Rachelle) Jackson, South Hill, VA and an additional brother- Theodore Jiggetts, New York, NY; five aunts- Harriett Harris, Evelyn Jackson, both of South Hill, VA; Mary Gibson, New York, NY; Lacy Macklin, Dolphin, VA and Geraldine (James) Hicks, Alberta, VA; nine uncles- Michael Jackson, Skipwith, VA; Lander Hendricks, Sr., LaCrosse, VA; Will Holmes, Jr., South Hill, VA; Robert Meredith, Jr., Alberta, VA; James and Thomas Meredith, Lawrenceville, VA; Leon (Francis) Meredith, Randolph (Jacqueline) Meredith, all of Brodnax, VA; William (Brenda) Meredith, Warfield, VA; four step-aunts- Alice Elaine Goodrich, Brenda Macklin, Marilyn Hite, all of South Hill, VA and Janet Jones of Brodnax, VA; two step-uncles- George Hines and Barry (Sharon) Hite, all of South Hill, VA; a loving and devoted companion- Marion House, South Hill, VA; a niece- Ahraya Jackson; two nephews- Jalon Jackson and Quante’ Davis; his little buddy- Tyrone “T J” House, Jr.; a God-sister- Agnes Renae Jones; a bonus mom- Lizzie Harris; devoted cousins- Tricia Alexander, Donte Hite, Jose Hite, James Macklin and Jeremy Alexander; devoted friends- Troy Boyd, Allen Alston, George Ragsdale, Anthony Smith, Shereef Chavis, Barry Boyd, Stacey Boyd, Timothy Baskerville, and Rondell House, and a host of other cousins and friends.

Sending my deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to Mr. Jackson's family and friends during this difficult time. Tito was always so soft spoken, more concerned for others over himself and always smiling every time I saw him no matter how good, bad, or exhausted he was. He will be missed so much and I will think of him often. RIP, Christie Johnson (Azura Vascular Care - Richmond VA)
