Obituary For Rodriquez Baker, Jr.

Mr. Rodriquez Baker, Jr., 35, of Columbus, GA passed Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Funerals service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST Friday, September 17, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Edmonds Cemetery Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 12-5 p.m. EST.

Our beloved son, Rodriquez C.F. Baker Jr. (Cory) was born September 2, 1986 to Rodriquez Baker, Sr. & the late Cynthia (Penny) Smith.

He was one of the sweetest and soft spoken young man that you would ever want to meet. He was an actor, song writer, singer (sikz), jewelry maker, hard worker, beloved son, Dad & Brother, who worded and live to try to make a beautiful life for his three daughters whom he loved more than life himself.

He was preceded in death, by his mother, Cynthia Smith; grandmothers, Margie Baker and Cherry Smith; uncle, Darrel Sumbry; aunts, Maxine Ivey, Tracy Baker Sellers, Willien Smith and Grace Smith.

Rodriquez leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Rodriquez Baker, Sr.; three daughters, Nicole Waters of Columbus, GA, Makenzie Baker and Brooklyn Baker of Opelika, AL; two brothers, Jeremy Ford of Columbus, GA and Travis Smith of Warner Robbins, GA; one sister, Moesha Baker of San Antonio, TX; six uncles, Levere Baker, Michael Baker, Thaddeus Baker, Clifford Smith, Willie Smith and Melvin Ivey; great uncle, Jessie Dickson; aunts, Kimberly Williams, Glenda Ridley, Josephine Chadwick, Dorothy Cobb, Chandra Hall and Gwen Baker; four nephews and a host of cousins.
