Obituary For Earl Daniel

Afuneral celebration for Earl Patrick Daniel "Pat" 64, of Jacksonville, Alabama will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow immediately after service at Forest Lawn Gardens. Public viewing will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM at the chapel of Goodson Funeral Home. Earl Patrick Daniel, most lovingly known as "Pat" began to walk this journey we call life on August 4, 1957 in Anniston, Alabama to Vernon Swint and Hazel Thomas.

He was raised by his loving parents, Calvin and Hazel Thomas Sr. Although a native of Carrollton GA., Earl completed his formal education in the Calhoun County School System graduating from Walter Wellborn High School class of 1975. Sports was not a priority for Earl as even at the earliest age of 13 he showed that he was a hard worker by trade and preparation for the future was his main goal. He moved to Jacksonville, Alabama after graduating to work for Fruit of Loom Mills as a doofer, where he worked for 26 years. He also held an apprenticeship at Ervin Funeral Chapel for over 20 years.

It wasn't until later in life Earl switch career paths as a Crane Operator at Anniston Army Depot, where he worked for 20 years. Throughout his career, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone he worked with. During his childhood he confessed his commitment to Christ, and served in various capacities throughout his life. At the time of his passing, He was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully in the men's choir and usher board.

He was a wonderful joy to be around and considered a unique spark of life and laughter that could change the mood of any room his presence graced. His sense of style and cool attitude will truly be missed by both close family and friends. On September 2, 2021 God had special arrangements for Earl. For we know God's timing is perfect and in that timing our faith grows as we are forced to wait and trust that he will pull us through and he alone will get the Glory. A son, father, spouse, brother, uncle, grandfather and close friend was called home by way of God's perfect timing. His life, his laughter, the sound of his voice and the love he displayed throughout his life will be immensely missed, but a part of him will live forever through the lives of those who cared for him deeply. Earl's (Pat) presence on this Earth will be truly missed as life continues. His memories will forever be etched on the hearts of his loving spouse Jeanetta Daniel (Ohatchee Al), caring parents Hazel Thomas (Carrollton, GA), and Calvin Thomas Sr. (Anniston, AL).
