Obituary For Hattie Mae Thompson

Hattie Mae Jefferson Thompson age 82 of Gastonia, North Carolina transitioned on Friday, September 3, 2021 at CMC-Main, Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on December 2, 1938 to the late Roosevelt Jefferson and Mary Jane McCluney Jefferson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Thompson and four siblings, Virginia Jefferson Hill, Melvin Jefferson, Jasper Jefferson, and Roosevelt Jefferson, Jr.

She graduated from Lincoln High School, retired in the Retail Industry (Mr. K) as a Sales Clerk. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral service is Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. There will be a public walk through on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM.

Masks are required for all services
