MR. LEROY ALFRED WELLS - Age 79, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021. He was born March 20, 1942, in Chattanooga, TN. He graduated from Howard High School in Chattanooga, TN. He played football for both Howard High School and Alabama A & M University. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp. as a Sergeant. He retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked for many years. He is preceded by his wife, Melva Gregory Wells, parents, J. C. Wells, Sr. and Alma Carter Wells, siblings, Virginia Adams, J. C. Wells, Jr., and Sandra Leatherwood, nephew, Kelvin Pruitt.

He is survived by his loving children, Myra Wells, Marcia Wells, and Jonathan Prince; grandchildren, David Charles Brown, III, Mycahl Wells, Symone Moore and Christian James; brother, Raymond (Jewel) Wells; sisters, DoRethea (Charles) Jones, and Cheryl Wells-Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1:00 P. M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37404 with Bishop Reuben Graham, Eulogist. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:30 A. M. – 12:30 P. M. at Hardwick & Sons Funeral Home, 2521 Duncan Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
