Obituary For Mother Ida B. Wall

MS. IDA BELL WALL, daughter of the late Will Wall and Annie Lindsey Wall was born in Anson County, North Carolina on March 21, 1924.

On September 11, 2021, at the age of 97, she went to be with her Lord and Savior at Wadesboro Health and Rehabilitation, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

Mother Wall attended the public schools of Anson County.

She confessed Christ as her Savior at an early age. She served faithfully as a member of Bessie Chapel AME Zion Church, Lilesville, North Carolina until her health declined. Mother Wall served as Church Secretary, Class Leader and was one of the founders of the Bessie Chapel Senior Choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter; four brothers, Willie Lee Wall, Charlie Lindsey, John Wall and James Wall; and two sisters, Daisy Mae Darden and Callie Wall Ewing.

With heavy hearts aching because of her passing, but grateful for the wonderful memories, thoughtfulness, kindness and love she passed on to us, Mother Ida Bell leaves to cherish two nephews who served as her caregivers, Kenneth (Josephine) Wall of Wadesboro, North Carolina and Merice (Stella) Wall of Ansonville, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Bennie Darden of Suffolk, Virginia and a multitude of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; two special friends, Betty Howard of Lilesville, North Carolina and Elizabeth Pratt of Morven, North Carolina. A host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Being the youngest daughter of J.K. and Luzetta Wall. I did know too much about the family history. My cousin Ida Bell will tell me stories about our family. She was full of wisdom and told you whatever you wanted to know about our family. She will be greatly missed by our family. Another Patriot that has gone on to be with the Lord. Rest in peace cut.
