Obituary For Lawrence "Larry" C. “Pancake” Anderson

Lawrence “Larry” C. Anderson, 76, of Madison, NC died September 11, 2021. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 16,2021 at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2021, at the chapel.

Lawrence Clifton Anderson, affectionately known as "Larry" was born to the late James Willie and Levia K. Anderson on January 16, 1945. Larry attended Charles R. Drew High School, as the class of 1963. He loved speaking of his basketball skills and he wore his blue and gold sapphire class ring with pride. He was employed by Washington Mills (Tultex) of Mayodan, NC for 39 years and finished his working career at Douglas Battery in 2009. Raised in the Methodist faith, Larry loved all and was loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Willie and Levia, his sister, Vera (Mozelle), his brother, James Willie, Jr. (Billy) and sister-in-law, Ruth Anne.

Left to cherish precious memories of him are: his wife of 47 years, Shelia Anderson, his two sons Clifton Anderson (Odessa) of Garner, NC and Nathaniel Anderson of Eden, NC, his granddaughters; Khouri and McKenzie Anderson, special daughter, Whitney Webster (whom he loved like his very own), his special-in-laws; Martha Jane Webster and Robert Shelton (Tommy), his special sister; Lena Goolsby, his special friend, Jerry Price, as well as his lifelong friends; Dewey Ziglar, David Hairston and William Dalton.
