Obituary For John Henry Day, Jr.

Mr. John Henry Day, Jr. ,78 of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, September 13, 202 1 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service will be 12 noon EST, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Uchee Hill Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 20, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Dea. Day accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of the Uchee Hill Baptist Church. He loved God and was very active serving as a Deacon, Asst. Chairman, member of Russell County Male Chorus and was well known for his heart filled devotion in the surrounding area.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Minnie Blount and brother Eddie Day,Sr.

Dea. Day leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Emma M Day; two loyal children, Denise Day and Reginald Day; two caring sisters, Sallie Grier, Annie Bell (Dave) Elliott; one caring brother, Ronnie (Denaye) Day. Six loving grandchildren, Kaitlynn Fluellen, Kiwanius (Louis) Perry, Maria Day, Keaira Day, Raijen Day, and Alenzo Talley, Sr. Six wonderful great-grandchildren. A devoted and caring cousin, Jimmy Crow and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
