Joshua Antonio Smith was born December 12,1980 to Debra Ann and Luther Rick Smith. He transitioned at the age of 40 on September 13, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Ga.

Joshua was a native of Clarke County, Athens, GA. He is a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School. Joshua Smith worked his last job at Bed Bath and Beyond. He was a hardworking man that love his children, family and friends. Joshua was a brave individual, and never gave up hope, even until the very end.

Joshua Smith’s memories will be cherished by his parents Debra Ann and Luther Rick Smith of Athens, GA. He leaves one daughter: Jada Smith of Athens, Ga., Two sons: Jaiquez Smith and Jaden Smith of Athens, Ga. He leaves behind one Sister: Lolita Smith of Athens, Ga., one brother: Rickey Smith (Bertina) of Athens, GA. Special friends Renetta Burley and Shauquita McCommons, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives ,and close friends of the family.
