Obituary For Essie Mae Fields

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength, labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Psalms 90:10

Ms. Essie Mae Fields 82, of San Antonio, Texas (formally of Warrenton North Carolina) departed this life on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Heart- to- Heart Personal Care Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Snow Hill Baptist Church, 504 Snow Hill Rd, Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend King Perry Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Baptist Cemetery.

She leaves behind one daughter, Connie Massenburg, San Antonio, Texas; one brother Alfred Fields, (Daisy), Baltimore, Maryland; one sister Wilma Offer (Wayne), Pasadena, Maryland; two brothers who preceded her in death, Norman Fields, Jr (Pearla) and PFC Anthony Fields; three nieces, Mrs. Angela Sheppard (David) of Catonsville, Maryland and Ms. Alfreda Fields of Baltimore, Maryland; Ms Wanda Burwell of Oxford, North Carolina; one nephew, Justin Fields-Gray of Glenn Burnie Maryland; two great-nephews, Jeremiah Fields-Leach and Malachi Gilliam both of Baltimore, Maryland; and other devoted family members, Mrs Jessie Bullock of Henderson, North Carolina; Mr. and Mrs. William Burwell of Henderson, North Carolina; and a host of other special friends both near and far.

Connie, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I worked with her at social services and she was a great friend to me and she always mentioned you and how proud she was of you and your accomplishments. Her smile and laugh was infectious and I just loved her so much. Prayers for comfort.

To Connie. I'm so sorry for the loss of ya Mom. Essie was a great person, and gave me my first real Job, at the Community Center when I was 15. She had a love, and passion for children, and always encouraged teenager's to get ya education, and always do the best u could in life, and always Pray.
