Obituary For Jimmie Lee Jackson, Jr.

Mr. Jimmie Lee "Pokey" Jackson, Jr., 68, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m EST, Saturday, September 18, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Alexander-Abercrombie Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Jackson was born on January 8, 1953 to the late Jimmie Jackson, Sr. and Mattie Jackson. He attended Mt. Olive School system and was baptized at an early age. He was a very hard working man. He departed this life on September 14, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tyrone Jackson; father, Jimmie Lee Jackson, Sr.; mother, Mattie Bell Jackson and a brother, Brady Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Jackson of Phenix City, AL; three children, Nifarterrie Gordon (Tarvaris Farley) of Columbus, GA, Dexter (Brandy) Taylor of Phenix City, AL and Chadanay (Maria) Jackson of Atlanta, GA; four sisters, Sharon Pyatt of Columbus, GA, Clarissa Perry of Atlanta, GA, Sheila (Michael) Mims of Columbus, GA and Daphne Jones of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, Ivory (Helen) Jackson of Columbus, GA and Curtis (Gloria) Jackson of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Neveah Gordon, Jyra Gordon and Elin Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

John 14:3 says if I go and prepare a place for you I will return and receive you unto me that in my house there are many mansions If there were not so I would not have told you so, street are paved with Gold, twelve gates to the city.
