My family's heartfelt sympathy is extended to the SHERROD family. I am sharing in your sadness in the loss of "BB"... Willie, was a 'self-appointed, extended-community-family' member of the Williams household in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was one of my earliest and dearest: Toddlerhood...Childhood...Teenhood...Young Adulthood...Seniorhood- pal, brother & CUZZ. During the 1950's, Willie's grandparents lived directly across the street from our family. The Williams- Daddy M., Mama C., and four female siblings. So since there were not any boys in our family, Willie became play-brother and our friendship was steadfast and lasted for decades. During the more than one-half century of our sisterly/brotherly friendship, we maintained a close bond. I'll always cherish Willie's love for family and his devotion to Country. Willie's exuberant personality was always accompanied by a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. I'll remember the fond-bond we were able to preserve. Although, during these past few years, we did not communicate as often as in past years; Willie and Dorothy were constantly thought about. As I reminiscence about our mutual respect for each other, Willie's spirit will always shine a beacon of admiration, a semi-kindred spirit and a genuine camaraderie (comradery) BLESSINGS-FOREVER, Zetta Will'

BB always greeted me with a smile. After greeting me we would talk about basketball! For the many years that I knew him, he was always the same. His family is in our prayers. Rest in peace!!! Hen
