Obituary For Jamar Tyree Pipkin

Mr. Jamar Pipkin, 27, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, September 13, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST Monday, September 20, 2021 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie L. Sanders, Jr. officiating. Visitation is Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Jamar Tyree Pipkin, affectionately known to many as “Jay Pip” was born on May 29, 1994 to Shemika Pipkin and Reginald Freeman in Columbus, Georgia. J

Jamar was an all-round athlete from his childhood years throughout his young adult life. He played football for the CYF league, East Columbus Magnet Academy & G.W Carver High School. Jamar also played basketball for the Boy and Girls Club, his middle school & high school team. At an early age, Jamar accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was united through M.L Harris United Methodist Church in Columbus, GA. Jamar was a great loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was protective of his family and would give them his last if he had too. Jamar truly enjoyed spending time with family, friends, & most of all being a father to his kids.

Jamar was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Peabody, his uncle, Alonzo Tyrone Pipkin, his cousin, Alonzo Nyyky Kamari Pipkin, and his best friend, Maurice Vaughn Jackson.

Those left to cherish his memories, include: his daughter, Maliyah Talbot of Columbus, Georgia; his son Jayceon Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia; his mother, Shemika Pipkin of Atlanta, Georgia; his father, Reginald Freeman of Phenix City Alabama; his grandmothers, Bertha Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia, and Mary F. Barnes of Phenix City Alabama; his god grandmother, Rosa Lee Walden of Columbus, Georgia; his twin brother, Jamal Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia; his sisters, Jakyah Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia, Raven Freeman of Phenix City, Alabama, Destiny Tucker of Phenix City, Alabama and Rayunna Tucker of Phenix City, Alabama; his aunts, Catherine Browder (Tyrone) of Montgomery, Alabama, Aretina Freeman of Charleston, South Carolina, Michele Williams of Charleston, South Carolina, and Tiffany Atemnkeng (Walters) of Omaha, Nebraska; his uncles, Michael Pipkin of Columbus, Georgia, Vernon Pipkin of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Carlos Freeman (Cynthia) of Phenix City, Alabama; his nephew Daajhawon Howard Jr of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Was so saddened to hear the news of his passing Reggie. I lost my son at age of 18. We all at Adams Food Center are thinking of you and the family.
