Obituary For David Williams

On September 12, 2021, David was called to rest in a better place. David T. Williams was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. David was the only boy and the youngest child born to his late loving mother Shirley M. Hatcher-Williams.

David graduated from Snyder High School in 1990. One of his favorite sports that he played in high school was baseball. After high school he had 1 beautiful daughter that everyone knew as Lema.

David then received his CDL straight out of high school and began working as a truck driver. Trucking was his life, and he enjoyed the freedoms on the road and the interactions with fellow truckers nationwide via CB Radio. He worked as a trucker for over 30 years consecutively. One of David’s proud accomplishments was becoming his own boss as an owner-operator, through his company Inspiration Industries LLC. He was a hardworking lifelong trucker who dedicated his life to the road. The trucking community has lost a dedicated veteran.

David loved the city life of NJ and NY. In NJ, he was able to express his sportsmanship of becoming a great bowler, where he accumulated numerous trophies. In 2014, he decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life to settle down in the countryside of North Carolina. At the tender age of 49, he departed this world and is in God’s hands now.

David’s love will continue to live on with his daughter Qualema E.Wideman, the love of his life: JoVonna Brooks. 3 siblings: Dallas Hatchett (preceded in death), Sandra Woodard (preceded in death), and Rebecca Williams. Nieces and nephew: Michael T. Richardson, Devin Eutsey, Dahlia Eutsey, and the late Sonia Hatchett. Closest family and friends.
