Tony Junior Lawrence "Pete" 62 of Fuquay-Varina, NC passed on September 16, 2021 at the home. Tony is survived by his wife, Felecia Lawrence of Apex, North Carolina; four children, Antonio Junior Lawrence (Nicole) of Clayton, North Carolina, Lakeisha Lawrence (Brian) of Apex, North Carolina, Lynette Jane Lawrence Hinton of Apex, North Carolina and Cory Lawrence of Apex, North Carolina; two sisters, Betty Sue Wilson and Sandra Hargrove (Louis) both of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; one brother, Willie Edward Lawrence of Fayetteville, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Makaylah Cheyanne Lawrence, London Reece Lawrence, Jeremiah Lee Lawrence, Brene Caprice Yates and Brian Keyshaun Yates.
Visitation: 4:00 -6:00 pm Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526., with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Burton Family Cemetery in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
Mask are required in order to attend the visitation or graveside service.

I remember the day my Grandfather died, Mr. Tony walked right across the street, found out what was going on and then told me to "come on back across the street with us." I feel very sad that Tony left this earth. He had a joy of life that was contagious, and he made friends wherever he went. A lot of people have been touched by Tony - his friendliness and helpfulness...and yes, his good sense of humor. He showed a lot of courage and determination in facing significant obstacles. Way back in 1999 when our oldest started at Swift Creek Elementary School, you were the only male figure in the building. You were always so kind and friendly. The kids all loved you. Mr Lawrence was a mainstay for Swift Creek Elementary for many years. He was loved and respected by the staff and students. His sense of humor brought smiles to our days of work and his physical help was generously offered all around the school campus. He was so missed when he had to leave our school family.
