Obituary For Mother Marjorie Brooker

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14: 1-3

Mother Marjorie Brooker affectionately known as "Mart" or "Big Momma" was born to the late Mack Coath, Sr., and the late Marion Taylor Coath on April 27, 1947, Allendale County, South Carolina.

She was educated in the public schools of Allendale County. At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Savior and became a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Fairfax, South Carolina. She later became a member of Second Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Allendale, South Carolina.

She was employed with Allendale County Schools as a Dietitian until her retirement.

Mother Brooker was joined in holy matrimony to the late Vonseil Brooker, and this union was blessed with four children; Roselynn, Debra, Carol P. and Mack Timothy.

Mother Brooker believed in God and she loved her family and friends dearly. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, neighbor, and friend. She enjoyed playing taxi in her BIG white truck. Mother Brooker loved to cook, attend church, take trips, and spend time with her family. She had a personality like no other, and she always had a smile and kind word to say to encourage someone. She was truly a jewel.

As she enters her new journey of life, she will be greeted with love by her parents, (1) Son: Mack Timothy Brooker, (1) Sister: Hettie C. Bassett, (2) Brothers: Jimmy Coath and Leroy Barnes.

Ms. Marjorie was a mother to so many beyond her own children, including me. You could not leave her house without being offered something to or drink. She was kindness personified and always had positive vibes. The Lord has been glorified with her life. May the Lord grace be sufficient for the family as they grieve and adjust to life in her absence. Grace to you Rosalyn, Debbie, and Pat. Love, Darrell Haynes and Family
