Obituary For Jennifer Moore

Mrs. Jennifer Moore passed away Monday September 20, 2021. Jennifer "Jenny" B. Patterson Moore, 73, who was adored fiercely, departed her loving family on September 20, 2021. She was born in Dunn, NC on October 19, 1947 to the late Thurman Junious and the late Estella Mae Lampley Patterson.

Jennifer is mother to L. Jeffrey Moore (Amy), Jason Michael Moore (Kanika) Jennifer Lesleigh Moore Watson (Daemien) and stepmother to Timothy Adams (Sandra). She raised her children with love and devotion in Greensboro NC with her forever loving husband Lester "Big Mo" R. Moore.

After graduating from James Benson Dudley High School in 1965 she attended 3 years at North Carolina Central University and attempted to finish up at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University until her daughter decided to make a surprise appearance pregnancy. She left school for good to focus on family.

Jennifer worked various jobs before deciding to stay home with her kids. With an entreprenurial and creative heart she opened a store in downtown Greensboro named Moore Appeal back in the 1990s but more recently launched a body care line named Always Amina that she sold at trade/craft shows and locally to her many loyal customers.

She loved to laugh and was quite the jokester. Jennifer would give you a face or remark that made you giggle even when she wasn't joking, you couldn't help but laugh. She told you things straight up with no chaser even when you didn't want to hear it. Her sometimes tough love parenting style was needed especially when we were being "hardheaded" children.

She loved to sing although she says "she can't carry a tune". Oh how she loved watching The Walking Dead faithfully until the last few seasons "started going down hill" after Rick and Michonne left.

She is survived by her: Brother- Reverend TJ Patterson, Jr. (Lillian),sister-Vivian McLean Aunts- Reverend Gail Favors; Ethel Patterson Williams and Edith Patterson. Spouse and children named above; Grandchildren- Sanaa Kalea Moore, Banneker Lewis Moore, Zora Nia Moore, Zavier Jason Moore, Jennifer Macie-Klair Watson, Daxton Leigh Watson, Jordan Cattrell Adams and Jasmine Chardonnay Adams; Nieces and Nephews- Timothy Horton, Matthew Patterson, Denise (Patterson) Flood, Angelique Patterson, Anthony Patterson, Charles Patterson, Andrew Patterson; Paternal cousins: Renauld Williams, Cassandra P. Hoskins, Sandra Coulberson, Travita P Johnson, Angie Jeffers, John W. Patterson Jr, Danny Penn Maternal Cousins: Artelious "Tee" McLaughlin Lett, Douglas Lampley, Jon "Tré" Lampley, Melanie Brinson, Sekou Favors and Jelani Favors.

Our mother is strong and she demonstrated that strength till her last breath, hanging on to meet her last grandchild. She lived her life for her children and grandchildren. We never wanted for anything. We will always love you Ma as your physical memory will forever live in our hearts as your spirit soars high. We your children, will pass on the torch you bared to our own children
