Obituary For Janet Koonce Bonner

Janet "Ms. Jan" Koonce Bonner, 73, of U-170 Trent Court, New Bern died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

Her service is Noon, Monday, October 4, 2021 on the Grounds of Oscar's Mortuary. The service may be viewed on Oscar's Mortuary Facebook Page.

She is survived by four daughters, Jaeqvon Koonce, Diane K. Collins, Adria Little and Sharon Bonner all of New Bern; one brother, Lathan Simmons, Jr., New Bern; two sisters, Brenda Simmons and Cynthia Ann Patrick both of New Bern; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Masks are required and social distancing will be followed.

My heart goes out to cousin Jan's entire family, she was such a sweet person, even though I just found out several years back we were related, she and her daughter Adria (as well as others family members) embraced me and my children like they had known us for years and year's. Whenever I saw Jan and Adria out and about the town, they would ALWAYS say "hey cuzz"☺️. Trent Court won't be the same.
