I want to express my condolences to the Sharon and the Pierce family. My prayers are with you and may you find comfort through God's abiding presence. I had the honor and privilege of growing up and attending Lake Shore High School with Curtis Pierce. We grew up in Lake Harbor, Florida. In all the time I knew Curtis, he presented himself as mild-mannered person. He never grew attention to himself because he always presented himself as a gentleman. Curtis popularity was low keyed, because he did not like growing attention to himself not because he craved it, but rather he was self-assured and mild character. I lost tract of Curtis after we graduated from high school. Our lives took different paths, and it wasn't until 2019 I got a surprised visit from Curtis who was in the Hope Mills, North Carolina area visiting friends. When I saw his face at the door I almost burst in tears because it had been a very long time since we last saw each other. I was so thrilled for his visit and our little time together we reminisced about our growing up on the muck. We laugh and talk about the good old days. Although they were challenging and in an era of extreme racism, we managed to live through it and gain courage to move forward. Even though we connected in that one visit it was like we never ever forget or left each other. I am blessed and honored to have known such an inspiring person as Curtis Pierce. Lord thank you for the gift of friends and family. May God bless and grant you eternal peace. Chaplain Lieutenant Retired Wilbert Harrison

I will always remember Curtis and his quirky sense of humor. But most of all, I will remember the loving bond he shared with my friend. A love that brought so much love and happiness to her. To Sharon and family on behalf of the Hayes family in South Florida I want to extend our Deepest Condolences. Curtis was a great man and we love you all. He and my dad were Army buddies since I was a kid so you all are our family. I know he and my dad are joking and laughing together right now and they both called each other Junior. Hey Curtis my brother, sent hight school you was a leader, and the journey you tuck and road you travel, you brought friendship, happiness, and trust. But most of all you married Sharon, and raised a loving family. I could go on talking about class of sixth eighth reunions, you bring classmates and there teachers together, O what a fun time we had together. From the muck city to the top of the hill, I believe your faith in Christ Jesus, brought you all the happiness a believer hope for. Well the sun is gone down, and you had to go back to witch you came, to the creator of all things Jehovah Elohim, our Father who are in heaven, hallowed be your name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth and it is in heaven. In Christ Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏾 🌹 Eugene Mann
