Obituary For Mrs Josephine Rodgers

Mrs. Josephine Rodgers, 96 of Steele, Missouri was born in Jonestown, Mississippi to Samuel and Lenora Cotton Connor. Mrs. Rodgers was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Steele, Missouri. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sam Rodgers, sons David, Arthur Joe, Charles, James, and Eddie; and a daughter Gloria Shun. Mrs. Rodgers passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at River Oaks Nursing Center in Steele, Missouri. She is survived by two sons, John L. Rodgers of Steele, Missouri; and Tony (Dorothy) Rodgers of Madison, Illinois; two daughters, Rosa Rodgers of Alton, Illinois and Betty (Sammie) Southern of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Faye Sutton of Steele, Missouri; and a devoted daughter- in-law Shirley Rodgers of Steele, Missouri; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday September 25, 2021 beginning at 12:00 noon at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 111 Boswell Street, Steele, Missouri. Reverend James Hill is the pastor and will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at new Hope Cemetery in Yarbro, Arkansas.
